This project was prepared in conjunction with the Alpine Township Urban Planning Practicum group, and involves an analysis of projected build out and housing growth in Alpine Township, Kent County, Michigan. Along with planning lot sizes and suitability of land for land use, we looked at the possible impacts of traffic flow, including what routes certain groups of new houses will take as well as what roads will see the highest increase in traffic. The destination and origin we will use outside of Alpine Township is the US-131/I-96/I-196 interchange to the Southeast of the Township.
