bicyclism

This is an attempt at a non-formal theoretical approach to bicycles.

Bicycles as a means of primary transportation, as revolutionary tools, as instruments of play, and as a method to increase human contact and awareness of the world around us.

Bicycles are the most efficient mode of transportation ever invented. Their technology will last long after people have forgotten how to maintain the nuclear reactors and computer grids.

Bicycles free people in a way no car ever can. In fact, the masses, ever more incarcerated in their rolling coffins, find their freedoms restricted as they find their bodies confined.

As people become more aware of the reality of their surroundings, perhaps they will get out of their cars, pick up their bicycles, and encounter their world in a more direct manner.

ride safe. ride often. ride everywhere.

bicycle.
