The Chicano/Latino Fellows Program was established as a joint collaboration of the Chicano/Latino Studies Program (CLS), the MSU Office of Racial Ethnic Student Affairs (ORESA), and JSRI. This program, which is especially designed for freshmen and transfer Chicano/Latino students, provides ongoing guidance and support to ensure a successful transition to college. The purpose of the program is to increase the retention and graduation rate of Chicano/Latino students.
Alternative Spring Break
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) offers MSU students an opportunity to learn about the world while performing services to orphanages, retirement homes, and other philanthropic organizations. Fellows are encouraged to apply to ASB. CLFP offers two scholarships for our students to go abroad over Spring Break. Previous sites attended by fellows include the Mexican cities of Puebla, Queretaro, and Merida.
