The 1922 Corona Portable
This amazing little machine was purchased in Ohio.
Similar machines were introduced in 1904 and mine dates to around 1922.
They continued production through the 1920's. This typewriter has an
aluminum frame and is very lightweight. It originally came with its
own carrying case, instruction manual, and cleaning kit. Click on it
to see it fold in half! That was its unique feature, it folded in half
for greater carrying ease. I had it rebuilt and it now types like a dream.
Most typewriters of the era were heavy, big, and made of cast iron.
