1950 Western Electric 500
This model was introduced in 1947 with
an F1 receiver. The phone you see here is from about 1950 with a G1
receiver, made of Bakelite, and a thermoplastic body. It's nearly identical to its more common counterparts,
which would be introduced later in 1954 in colors. Later models of the
500 set had plastic dials and thermoplastic receivers.
