I began radio repair in the summer of 2003 because I
acquired a few quality tube-type radio sets for little or nothing and decided I
had to repair them myself, as hiring radio repair work was prohibitively
expensive. Since then I've read hundreds upon hundreds of pages out of a
sizable stack of books and corresponded with countless people in person, and
over the internet (Yahoo
Group) trying to solve problems and gain knowledge. I still
have a long way to go. I recently received my amateur radio operator’s license and aspire to
learn Morse Code.
