The Western Electric Hanging Handset model
201, 1928
This model was introduced in 1928.
It was the first of many, the beginning of a new phone deisgn. This
phone was designed to fit in to small places and save space. Other
unique features include the coiled cloth cord and the celluloid dial face,
which was only made for less than a year, because it was not durable enough.
