Coin Box
On the coin box lid
there is a door and a lever to open it. The box is set to open
when installed in the phone and will close by the force of a spring
when the coin box is removed. This prevented the money collector
from removing the coins. The coin box was sealed using a plastic
clip, as shown in the photo below. If the plastic clip was
missing, the supervisor would know that the money collector had broken
into the coin box before taking it in for collection.
