Research Assistant: Great Lakes Near Shore Fisheries Management

To Be Determined: Possible Great Lakes yellow perch age/growth analysis & food ecology project

Past Projects:

Undergraduate Independent Study - Worked with Dr. Reuben Goforth studying mottled sculpin, Cottus bairdi. The purpose of this project was to distinguish any differences between the mottled sculpin found in the Great Lakes to those found in inland streams. Completed work was collection of fish samples using an electro-fishing backpack, age analysis of otoliths from collected specimens, an extensive literature review, a poster presentation at the University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum, and development of a draft manuscript for future publication.
