ABOUT US The Asian Pacific American Studies Conference is a collaborative effort led by MSU's Asian Pacific American Studies Program to advance the knowledge of Asian Pacific American studies and scholarship. What originated as a small conference featuring the work of APA Professorial Assistants, undergraduate students who conducted original APA-related research under the guidance of a faculty or staff mentor, has grown into a national, and now international conference with participants coming from both within and outside the U.S. This is the third annual MSU APA Studies conference. The conference is sponsored by MSU’s Asian Pacific Studies Program and with primary support from the Committee on Institutional and a Creating Inclusive Excellence grant from the Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives. Additional support for the conference provided by APASO (Asian Pacific American Student Organization), Asian Studies Center, LBGT (Lesbian/Bi/Gay/Transgender) Resource Center, OCAT (The Office of Cultural and Academic Transitions) RCAH (Residential College in the Arts and Humanities) and VIPP (Visiting International Professional Program). |
