1st Annual Asian Pacific American Studies Conference

MSU’s first annual APA Studies conference, “Envisioning Asian Pacific America,” is an academic exploration of the diversity, complexity and possibilities of Asian Pacific America in the 21st century.

 

Kick-Off Performance: Anida Yoeu Esguerra,

founding member of the critically acclaimed spoken word performance groups of Mango Tribe and I Was Born With TwoTongues, self-identifies  as a Anida Yoeu Esguerra"non hyphenated Cambodian Muslim American woman." Her performance  entitled, "On the Cusp of Phoenix Rising"is a multi-media show incorporating spoken word and video.
