COPS and CORES

Council of Progressive Students.

There are six COPS groups (including the Alliance) at MSU. They share the COPS resource center in the attic of the Union. They are The Alliance of LBGTA Students, Arab Cultural Society, Council for Students with Disabilities, Jewish Student Union, International Student Association, and Womyn's Council.

Arab Cultural Society

Arab Cultural Society’s mission is to aide in the acclimation of Arab students to campus life, to provide an environment conducive to socializing and networking, and to foster a greater understanding of the Arab world’s cultural diversity and global contributions among the MSU community.  Arab Cultural Society does not have religious or political affiliations. Council of Racial and Ethnic Students

There are four CORES groups at MSU. They share the Multicultural Center in the basement of the Union. They are Asian Pacific American Student Organization, Black Student Alliance, Culturas de las Razas Unidas, and North American Indian Student Organization.

Asian Pacific American Student Organization

APASO, the Asian Pacific American Student Organization, was founded in 1982. Over the years, APASO has emerged as the collective political voice of the Asian Pacific American (APA) student community at Michigan State University.
