GSO Officers & Committees

The GSO officers are chosen in annual elections at the end of every spring semester. Each elected office is held for the duration of one year.

The elected positions are:
President --- Athur Mabiso
Vice-President --- Nicky Mason
Secretary-Treasurer --- Nicole Olynk
Cook Hall Rep. --- Ramzi Adjao
COGS Rep. --- Sonja Perakis 

In addition to these elected positions, there are several standing chairs/committees whose members are appointed by the GSO officers.

The chairs/committees are:
Judiciary --- Appointed annually on an "as needed" basis
Cook Co-op --- Beth Walsh, Sonja Perakis, Byron Reyes and Anna Medrano
Brown Bag --- Domenico Dentoni
Social Capital ---  Alda Tomo and Ramzi Adjao
Reference Room --- Hunter Nielson
Recycling --- Ben Gramig
Computer Services --- Tim Komarek

The Department of Agricultural Economics has GSO representatives on four standing faculty committees. The graduate policy committee positions are automatically filled by the GSO president and vice-president. All other faculty committee positions are appointed by the elected officers.

For 2006-2007 the departmental committees and their GSO representatives are:
Graduate Policy --- Athur Mabiso, Nicky Mason
Seminar --- Ben Gramig
Admissions --- Byron Reyes

Orientation --- Tim Komarek, Dingi Banda

Two people who really make things happen for the GSO are Dr. Scott Loveridge (pictured above) and Debbie Conway . The time and effort they spend on behalf of the graduate students is deeply appreciated.
