About the GSO

The purpose of the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is to promote the development of social capital between graduate students, and between graduate students and faculty in the Department of Agricultural Economics. To this end, the GSO sponsors a variety of events including an annual faculty-student barbecue, monthly TGIF meetings, and occasional morning student-faculty-staff coffees. For expanding the knowledge base of graduate students, the GSO periodically arranges field trips of local manufacturing and agricultural facilities, and sponsors a series of Brown Bag lunch seminars.
